All good things must come to an end and when that end comes, rarely is the result pretty.
The Indiana Pacers threw away their 16th consecutive home win with a series of faulty plays late in regulation and then in overtime. Fortunately, the miscues by normally reliable leaders, David West and George Hill, were more a factor of fatigue from four games in five days than the start of some disturbing trend.
The trend that did rear its ugly head for the Pacers was the lack of support from the second unit which forced Frank Vogel to ride his starters for heavy minutes once again this week. So now the Pacers will get a chance to exhale and regroup over the weekend before hosting the Brooklyn Nets on Monday in another challenging game at the Fieldhouse.
With just two games remaining before the All-Star break, the Pacers need to bounce back and finish strong before the break.
