The Indiana Pacers look to push their home winning streak to 15 games when they host the Atlanta Hawks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
The Pacers are 0-2 against the Hawks this season, dropping both games on the road at Philips Arena. The Hawks are always a pesky challenge for the Pacers and usually run hot or cold depending on how Josh Smith is going. Indiana will catch a break with Zaza Pachulia sitting out the game as the big fella has grabbed 14 rebounds in both prior games against the Pacers.
Rebounding is just one key for the Pacers as they try to improve defensively against the Hawks this time around. The 109-100 loss in the last outing was the second highest point total give up by the Pacers (Utah 114) and their league leading defense this year.
As Indiana's offense improves, the Pacers may end up giving up more points in the process but Frank Vogel wants to maintain the best field goal percentage defense in the league as an indication they are still getting it done on D. Good test tonight, that's for sure.
