It took nearly the entire half to reclaim the flow the Indiana Pacers had built with their 10-0 lead, but a 12-0 run late in the second quarter helped build an 11-point halftime lead over the Detroit Pistons. The start was great, but the Pacers fell into turnovers, mental mistakes, and bad shooting that eventually put them down 21-20 early in the second quarter. The Pacers defense was about the only constant, with the Pacers holding Detroit to 27.5% shooting.
Danny Granger returned to the floor for the Pacers tonight, going scoreless in 10 minutes on 0-4 shooting. His shots were good looks, but couldn't shake off the rust. Granger did play well defensively, with a block and rebound. The Pacers will definitely see a growing period with Granger on the floor as the offense was disjointed, as expected, with him. Roy Hibbert led the Pacers with 10, the Pistons' Will Bynum had 13 to give Detroit some much needed offense.
