The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat are once again engaged in an entertaining back-and-forth game displaying the talents of both teams in a high-intensity setting,
LeBron James played the whole first quarter, scoring nine of his 16 point for the Heat as the teams put one another through the usual runs. First, Pacers rallied from an early deficit to take a five-point lead with a 7-0 run, then the Heat immediately countered with an 8-0 run of their own. Paul George and Lance Stephenson each had seven points in the first quarter as the Pacers took a 25-23 lead after one.
The Pacers opened the second quarter with an 8-0 run while LeBron sat witness from the bench. Tyler Hansbrough and rookie Orlando Johnson fueled the early run which ended with a Miami time out after Hansbrough nudged his way to a contested baseline bucket over Rashard Lewis.
The game remains tight heading to the break as the Heat seemed to get a swarm of calls to finish the half, one of which sent Paul George to the bench for the final three minutes with three fouls. The Pacers survived to maintain a lead. David West leads the Pacers with 16 points while Lance Stephenson added 10 points before the break.
Tune in for the second half, should be fun.
