Add up whatever reasons you want; the Indiana Pacers are getting smacked around by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Indiana, on the second night of a back-to-back, wrap up their five game road trip tonight, and it hasn't exactly gone well on either side of the ball for the blue and gold. Indiana has trailed most of the way, but had an opportunity to cut the lead to six early in the second quarter, but a C.J. Watson miss opened up a quick 7-0 run to push the lead to 15 as the Thunder moved it to 19 by the break.
The difference has almost exclusively come in shooting as both teams are sitting at polar opposites from the floor. Oklahoma City is shooting a toasty 55%, with Kevin Durant scoring 19 and Russell Westbrook putting in 12. Indiana is at just 33% with Roy Hibbert's 10 leading the way for the Pacers. Oklahoma City is 4-9 from three point range while Indiana sits at 0-9. The Pacers appear to be a step slow, making it a tough climb if Indiana hopes to finish out the road trip on a high note.
