The Indiana Pacers welcome Brad Stevens back home along with his Boston Celtics on Sunday evening as the Blue and Gold try to build on an excellent effort in their last win over Houston on Friday. Notice the 6 PM TIP TIME.
Danny Granger made his season debut on Friday and expects to remain in the lineup in a key reserve role off the bench. The Pacers rolled past the C's earlier in the season at TD Garden, 97-82. But it wasn't easy. Boston took an 8-point lead to halftime until the Pacers held the C's to only eight points in the third quarter to run away with an easy win in the second half. Paul George caught fire (imagine that) to lead the way with 27 points.
The Celtics have altered their playing rotation since then, going with a pair of power forwards in the front court with Jared Sullinger and Brandon Bass. We'll see if Stevens remains small against the Pacers who have the size to dominate smaller front courts. If so, the Pacers will have to cover up the three-point line as they did against the Rockets on Friday.
