If it is Thursday afternoon it must be time for another Danny Granger injury update.Could this be the last one?
According to Frank Vogel, Granger will go from injured to active on Friday night when the Houston Rockets visit Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Not only will Granger be back in uniform, but Vogel expects to give him some quality minutes off the bench.
Vogel says he expects Granger to see about 15-20 minutes of playing time tomorrow night against Houston.

Last week at this time, Granger decided his game was still a little too rusty to return as the team backpedaled from DG's proclamation earlier in the week that he would be ready to play against Charlotte. Obviously, the team and player weren't on the same page but after another week of practice everyone is ready to add Granger to the mix.
When Granger does take the court it will be his first regular-season game action since his left knee flared up early in the Pacers' 97-92 win over the Chicago Bulls last season on March 3. That brought Granger's season to an end after playing briefly during a 5-game stretch. Eventually Granger had surgery which he and the team hopes will keep his patellar tendinosis under control and allow him to play.
Granger played briefly in the preseason this year until a strained calf put him on the shelf. So now we can begin to answer all of the many questions surrounding Granger joining the Pacers for the first meaningful minutes since the team has evolved into an elite championship contender.
