The Indiana Pacers have held the Miami Heat in check, building a double digit halftime advantage after outscoring Miami 14-6 to close the half. The Heat lead early in part due to Pacer miscues that led to easy Miami transition plays. LeBron James was an unsurprising go with a sprained ankle, but his time was limited thanks to three first half fouls. James helped cut a 12-point Pacers lead to three late in the second quarter, but a bad third foul sent him to the bench.
On the other end, Roy Hibbert ended the half on the bench as well with three fouls. Lance Stephenson led the Pacers with 11 points as the only Pacer in double figures, but all nine Pacers players have scored, including eight from David West, seven from Paul George and George Hill, and six from Luis Scola. The Heat are led by Dwyane Wade with 14 and James with 12.
