The Pacers take on the new-look Nets on Saturday night at the Barclays Center. Well, Brooklyn's roster additions are new, but they have a familiar old look to them with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry joining the Nets to facilitate Boston's rebuild and give Brooklyn a boost to title-contender status in the East.
While the Pacers are playing their fourth game in five nights, both teams will finish up a back-to-back. As the Pacers were dealing with the Raptors, the Nets were in Washington where they had to play overtime before eventually losing to the Wizards. That loss dropped the Nets to 2-3 on the season as they try to figure out how to play with all of their new pieces while also monitoring the workload for Garnett and Pierce. The duo each play less than 27 minutes against the Wiz while combining for eight points.
Maybe they were just resting up for the big matchup with the Pacers.
