The Indiana Pacers look to move their win total to an even dozen on Saturday night when they host the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers followed a familiar path to victory in Boston on Friday by slogging through the first half before snapping into destroy mode in the third quarter to beat down the Celtics.
The Sixers surprised the league by opening the season with wins over Miami, Washington and Chicago in a span of four days. For a team supposedly looking toward the next draft, the young talent on the roster has been able to show its worth, starting with rookie Michael Carter-Williams who started the season strong before missing a few games recently with a bruised left arch. Former lottery pick, Evan Turner has lifted his game a few notches, leading the Sixers with over 21 points per game.
Philly beat Milwaukee last night in OT, 115-107 to snap a four-game losing streak so neither team should have a back-to-back rest advantage. Forward Thaddeous Young has been away from the team for a few days dealing with personal family issues. Young did not play in Philly last night, so his status tonight remains unknown.
