The Pacers will try to win their third consecutive game to start the fresh NBA season when they take on Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night. Last year it took the Pacers seven games to log their third win, but in the lockout-shortened season two years ago, the Pacers won their first three games with the third winning coming against the Cavs.
In this case, I'm all up for history repeating itself.
With the NBA season in full swing, plenty of expected contenders have tripped up out of the gate with only the Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers (decidedly not considered a contender) without a loss in the East. The Pacers have no room to exhale all year, so avoiding a home trap against the Cavs tonight is key.
The Pacers have had two days off to get some work in and also do a little extra media. The most entertaining of those Pacers interviews, has to be Roy Hibbert appearing on ESPN's SportsCenter with his dog Sadie in an interview with actor Ken Jeong. Check it out and then hit the links.
