The Pacers will return to practice on Wednesday in preparation for their back-to-back games against Milwaukee and at Chicago starting on Friday. George Hill was busy off the court on his off-day Tuesday, first joining a few teammates to visit the VA hospital and then taking in the IUPUI vs. Evansville game where the Jags honored the local legend with induction into their athletic Hall of Fame. Here are some details on G3's IUPUI HOF credentials:

Hill (2004-2008) remains IUPUI's only-ever NBA draft pick, having been selected in the First Round (26th overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. The 6-foot-2 guard is now the starting point guard for the hometown Indiana Pacers. While at IUPUI, Hill was the 2008 Summit League Player of the Year and closed his career with 1,619 points (17.0 ppg), 547 rebounds, 317 assists and 155 steals in 95 career games. He was a two-time, First Team All-Summit League selection and earned Honorable Mention AP All-America honors following his junior year.

During his career, IUPUI went 61-30 (.670) in his three full seasons, including a school-record 26 wins during the 2007-08 campaign. IUPUI won 74 percent of its conference games during his three years, including a 15-3 mark in 2008. Hill becomes the 16th former men's basketball player to earn induction into the IUPUI Hall of Fame.

Danny Granger joined Hill, along with Donald Sloan and Rasual Butler, visiting the veterans at the VA hospital, but he also spent some time on the court in his next step toward practicing this week. In a WTHR interview aired last night, Granger said things went well (of course) and that he ran up and down the court and played a little 3-on-3 and 2-on-2. UPDATE: Vid King Magic Rat has the Granger clip where he spoke from the VA medical center.
