The starting lineup on Saturday's preseason opener may not carry much weight. Lance Stephenson will reportedly start but Danny Granger will play half the game as well. It appears the Pacers ideal world would be to have Granger return to a near-All-Star level of play which would move him back into the starting lineup with Lance runnning the point for the second unit.
Reportedly, there's even been discussion of starting Solomon Hill and bringing both Granger and Stephenson off the bench. Options. This team has options. But first, let's get through Granger's first preseason game to see what we're working with here.
As for the Bulls, the big story is Rose's return which is likely to draw plenty Chicago fans down I-65 for a glimpse. While Rose returns, a groin injury will keep Joakim Noah out of the lineup for Chicago. Obviously, Noah heard how Roy Hibbert feels about him on a personal level and doesn't want to deal with the big fella. Ha.
Honestly, if you show me someone who tells you they've seen a preseaon opener with more juice and storylines, I'll show you a liar.
