Pacers Training Camp: Granger easing through two-a-days, Copeland working at both small and power forward

The Pacers wrap up two-a-day workouts on Tuesday after a spirited first three days of camp.

USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers are three days into training camp and report nothing but positives from player readiness and effort to getting what they hoped for from the new faces in camp.

One of the old faces that seems new, Danny Granger, has work through three of the teams first five practices held during the first three days. According to Scott Agness, Granger's game plan via the training staff is to avoid practicing twice a day or three days in a row. So that had Granger watching Sunday's second practice and then again watching the bulk of Monday's one practice.

That means we should hear more positives about Granger's play following Tuesday's practice, right? Sounds like a day-to-day situation to me. Granger did say he expected to play all of the preseason games so once the ball goes up on Saturday night when the Pacers host the Chicago Bulls.

Agness also reports (fantastic camp report, by the way) that Chris Copeland has yet to disappoint shaking his money maker, shooting behind the arc. As expected, Copeland has been working at both the four (where he played in New York) and at the three position which is a spot he is more likely to find extra minutes on the floor. Copeland remains a key cog to give the Pacers and Frank Vogel a ridiculous amount of options to mix and match against other teams.
