The Pacers hope to have point guard George Hill available as he continues to deal with bronchitis which knocked him out of the win over Miami on Tuesday. Hill didn't take part in the team shootaround but is listed as probable heading into the game.
The Knicks will be without Carmelo Anthony due to suspension while they also continue to play without Raymond Felton who is sidelined with a broken hand. Of course, with veteran Jason Kidd in the starting lineup the Knicks' point guard situation is in good hands.
The Knicks will present plenty of problems in the front court for the Pacers Tyson Chandler and Marcus Camby around to defend the rim along with Amare Stoudemire off the bench for an offensive boost along with J.R. Smith. The Pacers struggled to get anything going when the Knicks won their first matchup in November, 88-76. In that game the Pacers started slow and then the Knicks finished the half strong to take control of the game.
The Pacers second unit as been trending in a positive direction of late and they will have to step up big tonight to maintain the defensive pressure on those NYK scorers off the bench.
