The Indiana Pacers begin summer league play on Monday at 5:00 p.m. when they take on the Summer Sixers in the Orlando Summer League.

The Pacers went through a few exhaustive practices to prepare for the games this week that will include rookies Miles Plumlee and Orlando Johnson, along with Lance Stephenson and Jeff Pendergraph. For the rooks, it was like getting a sip of water from a fire house which could have them on the floor trying to remember what to do as opposed to play.

Plumlee for one, admitted the pace of information coming at him has been a challenge, but coach Dan Burke knows that is part of the process of acclimating to the NBA game.

"He's asking good questions. He's like a sponge trying to soak it all up now," said Pacers assistant coach Dan Burke, who is coaching the summer league team. "He's gathering confidence and we're not questioning his ability. It's just, he's got a ways to go to be a physical presence. We'll get him there."
