This is the type of May that makes Indiana so much fun.
Indy Cars practicing at the day with reports over the roar of the cars all day. Then massive amounts of talk about the Indiana Pacers and their playoff game. Driving down to the Fieldhouse tonight, I was surprised by how many people were already out and about, filling up the bars surrounding Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The scalpers were on point and roaming everywhere after years of dreading the BLF beat. Tons of Pacers gear on fans roaming the streets or sitting outside. Heck, Scotty's Brewhouse had a packed patio and a line to get in the door and it wasn't even 4:30 p.m., yet.
Inside the Fieldhouse, pre-game interviews have moved from the hall to the media interview room...the full media interview room. As you can see from Chris Denari's tweet below, the Fieldhouse is ready for the fans to turn it gold. Now the Pacers just have to show up and rise to the occasion.
