The Indiana Pacers have been playing quite well of late, especially in the past four games with consistent monster play from Danny Granger combining varied combinations of other players coming up big in a particular games.
Against Wasghington, Darren Collison and Leandro Barbosa came up big. Against the Knicks, small ball got a boost from Paul George was strong along with Barbosa, Dahntay Jones and Lou Amundson off the bench. Team efforts have become the norm with Granger leading the way.
Tonight when the Oklahoma City Thunder play at the Fieldhouse we'll find out just how well the Pacers are playing. Not only are the Thunder the top team in the Western Conference, they are a long and athletic team always on the attack. Just the type of team which gives the Pacers (along with the rest of the league) problems. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook alone will provide major pain points for the Pacers to deal with, but throw in James Harden off the bench and Serge Ibaka defending the rim and, yeah the Thunder present issues. So consider this game a heat check, like a great shooter pulling up for three in transition after knocking down his three prior shots.
The Pacers should be plenty amped up to make a statement, let's just hope the Fieldhouse is equally amped to help deliver a sincere home court advantage.
