The Indiana Pacers can officially begin preparing for the Orlando Magic and the first round of the NBA playoffs today after finishing the regular season with a loss to the Chicago Bulls last night.

Both teams flexed the strengths of their respective games at different points during the game, but Chicago definitely looked prime for the start of the playoffs. When Boozer and Korver have it going like they did last night they are going to beat anyone. If that continues and they stay healthy (and by they I mean Derrick Rose), I have a hard time seeing anyone beating them four times.

I sure hope the Pacers get a chance, but there are many miles of rough playoff terrain to cover before that could happen for the Pacers. But the journey is about to begin, likely on Saturday although the schedule will be official tonight, and like the Bulls, the Pacers are primed and ready to give it their best shot. No doubt they will, as Frank Vogel mentioned after the game that he probably wouldn't sleep because he was so excited to start digging into the film on Orlando and begin preparing in earnest to attack the Magic.
