Finally the Indiana Pacers are ready to tip off another game, hitting the road to take on the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday night.
The Hornets may be missing some key pieces, most notably Eric Gordon and Emeka Okafor, but they remain a dangerous team. I was really impressed with their effort less than two weeks ago when they lost in overtime at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Forwards Carl Landry and Jason Smith missed that game and remain questionable for the game tonight, as well. Trevor Ariza was to sick to play last night with the Hornets beat the Dallas Mavericks, so I'm sure he'll try to give it a go.
Last time we saw the Hornets Greivis Vasquez started at point guard but last night coach Monty Williams shook things up and started Jarrett Jack at the point. The Hornets won the game so I would imagine Williams will stick with the playing rotation he used last night.
The Pacers need another strong effort like they gave in their win over Golden State on Tuesday. Attacking the Hornets early may suck the life out of their legs since they'll be playing a fourth game in five days. Reserve center Jeff Foster is not expected to play for the Pacers with a sore lower back, but everyone else should be primed and ready to go.
