The Peter Vecsey story on Larry Bird stepping down as president of the Indiana Pacers after the season has already led to plenty of speculation and created a bit of a buzz which drew the attention of Bird this morning.
Larry Bird doesn't enjoy hearing himself speak and really doesn't like to hear himself speak about himself, so it is no surprise that he efficiently shot down the report or at least didn't confirm the end game Vecsey reported. WISH-TV's Ashley Adamson tweeted the quote from Bird.
Larry Bird is denying retirement reports. Says "No decision has been made. End of story."

No decision. No story. Don't ask me again.
Obviously, this story won't go away but it won't be a major story until the Pacers play their last game of the season. Then we'll find out the end of the real story with Bird's future.
