By all accounts, Leandro Barbosa impressed in his first practice with the Indiana Pacers and coach Frank Vogel is ready to add him to the playing rotation, as Mike Wells reports.

Leandro Barbosa is in as the Indiana Pacers' backup shooting guard. George Hill slides over from his natural position of shooting guard to backup point guard. Backup point guard A.J. Price is now out of the rotation.

Barbosa's presence and his words reminding the Pacers that they play well when they run and defend should help lift the spirits of the squad that seemed to hit rock bottom following Saturday's loss to the Knicks. Obviously the biggest impact to the rotation is having George Hill play more point guard. He's been far better at shooting guard, but he also hasn't been running the second unit with Barbosa by his side. Those are two quick, savvy guards so the combo may work quite well...unless it doesn't.

We'll get our first glimpse tonight when the Pacers host the Los Angeles Clippers. Check out the links after the jump including an entertaining interview Barbosa had with JMV on 1070 The Fan.
