Fresh off of a trade from the Toronto Raptors, guard Leandro Barbosa is now spending his first full day with the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. While he is "with" the Pacers he is not going to play tonight against the New York Knicks.
But he did meet with the media prior to the game and was fabulous talking through his Brazilian Portugese accent about his quick transition into the blue and gold. More on this later, but let me leave you with Barbosa's comments when asked about the skirmish between he and Danny Granger last season which he made after chuckling.
"Somebody told me that he put something on Twitter and I think that was really nice of him," Barbosa said. "It was nothing against him, it was something that happened and I was told to do it (score late in a blowout), I had to do it. When the coach tells you to do something and you don't do it, he gets pissed. So I had to do it."
The Pacers will benefit from Barbosa's experience in the locker room and as part of the second unit as he appears excited and ready to make a run in the playoffs.
