The Indiana Pacers finish off the first half of the season on Wednesday night when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats. The Pacers flat roasted the Bobcats at the Fieldhouse on Sunday 108-73 in a game that wasn't nearly as close as the score appears to indicate.
Since the Pacers were unable to bank any of that excess deficit for tonight's game, Sunday's win will have no bearing on the game tonight, although it should bring out some pride in Charlotte to give a better effort. The Pacers need to remain focused on finishing strong before the break and not let their mind drift to their respective flights and plans for the extra-long weekend.
The return of George Hill should help keep everyone focused as he should be hyped up and ready to bring some energy even in a limited role as he begins working his way back into the playing rotation. Any success Charlotte has will be through their guards getting loose, namely D.J. Augustin and Kemba Walker off the bench, so Hill's availability comes at a good time. G3 remains listed as day-to-day but Chris Denari mentioned in a radio interview with JMV today that Hill was cleared by the training staff to give it a go tonight.
Here is the Pacers.com preview. For a Charlotte perspective, check out Rufus On Fire. Also, after the game check out Pacers Overtime on WIBC 93.1FM with Eddie White. Need to have an Indy Cornrows mention on the show!
