The indiana Pacers found themselves in a fight against the Denver Nuggets after jumping out to a 12-2 lead early in the first quarter. The Nuggets' bench helped to change the game with JaVale McGee putting them into the lead as the Pacers would have to find responses rather than controlling the game themselves.
The Pacers shot well in the first half at 53%, but turnovers and offensive rebounds opened opportunities for Denver to hold a halftime lead despite that. McGee led the Nuggets with 16, as part of a Denver onslaught that led to 36 points in the paint. David West was the go-to for the Pacers with 16, George Hill (9) and Lance Stephenson (7) helping the Pacers.
