Struggling defense by the Indiana Pacers has put them in a hole against the Atlanta Hawks, trailing by seven as the Hawks shot 61.5%. Indiana got lost on screens, Atlanta cashed in a number of tough shots, and couldn't contend against the pinpoint passing that allowed 17 Atlanta assists on 24 FGs. The Pacers were able to keep within striking distance by scoring 12 points off of 10 Atlanta turnovers, giving the Pacers an opportunity if they can tighten up and rotate better on defense.
David West led the Pacers with 11 points and Paul George followed with 10 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Ian Mahinmi has eight off the Indiana bench. For Atlanta, Al Horford leads the way with 14.
