The Indiana Pacers can get a bump in the Eastern Conference standings with a win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. With a win the Pacers will catch the Sixers in the standings and Philly tries to keep things together while waiting for Andrew Bynum to do...well...anything and some backcourt injuries to work themselves out.
Point guard Jrue Holiday is dealing with a sprained foot and Royal Ivey is out with strep throat (yikes, not something you want floating through the locker room). The Pacers are without Lance Stephenson after he suffered a sprained ankle in the Pacers win over Cleveland on Wednesday.
Add Danny Granger's absence to the mix and you have a pair of teams trying to hold things together for better times later in the season. Like the Pacers, Philly has been struggling on the offensive end (ranked 23rd in offensive efficiency) and trending the wrong way. The Sixers are 2-4 so far in December, failing to score more than 90 points in all four losses.
