The Indiana Pacers used a 14-4 run in the final 3:39 of the first half to trim a surprising 16-point Cleveland Cavaliers lead down to six. The Cavs stormed out to a big lead thanks to C.J. Miles, who had 23 points on five three pointers, in the first quarter and hot shooting early in the second. Paul George and Lance Stephenson led the way for the Pacers in the first half to weather the Cavs run, but the defense picked up in the final three and a half minutes, holding a 52% shooting Cavs team without a field goal and forcing Cleveland's first two turnovers of the game.
Ben Hansbrough gave some life to the bench, getting five with Tyler Hansbrough. Paul George led the Pacers with 16, David West had 10 and Lance Stephenson nine. The Pacers lived in the paint early, scoring easily on 18 fast break points.
