The Indiana Pacers return home homing to return to the win column when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
The Cavs are only 5-17 on the season while dealing with injury issues. Starting point guard Kyrie Irving missed 11 games with a broken finger before returning on Tuesday night to lead the Cavs past the Los Angeles Lakers.
Rookie guard Dion Waiters did not play against the Lakers, missing his fifth consecutive game with an ankle injury and there has been no indication that he will play tonight against the Pacers. Waiters started his NBA career in impressive fashion, averaging over 15 points per game before the injury.
The Cavs were 2-9 without Irving which means they are 3-8 WITH Irving. While the record may be similar the team on the court is far more dynamic and with a couple of young, active bigs in Tristan Thompson and Tyler Zeller to add around old, active big guy Anderson Varejao, the Pacers will have to be on point and match the youthful energy to earn a win.
