No Danny Ganger, no excuse tonight for the Indiana Pacers when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves dealing with similar injury issues. Minnesota is 3-1 on the season with wins over Orlando, Brooklyn and Sacramento.
It is past time for Roy Hibbert to shine for the Pacers and he will have to come up big against the T'Wolves just to nullify the front court presence they have in Nikola Pekovic. The center leads Minnesota in scoring with 14 points per game. Time for the Big Dawg to get off the porch.
As for injuries, Minnesota continues to play without Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love. Also, flop master, J.J. Barea's status is uncertain with a sprained ankle.
The Pacers defense has been pretty solid so far but will get a test with the athletic players Minny have attacking the rim. Of course, the Pacers offense has to tighten up the basics by taking care of the ball to give themselves a chance to get rolling like they did in the third quarter in Atlanta.
