The Indiana Pacers are back in action on Monday night when they face the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center.
The Spurs are off to a strong start at 3-0 which includes wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz. At 36 years old, Tim Duncan is still getting it done and already putting up familiar numbers averaging 21 and 10 for the Spurs after three games which should present David West with plenty of problems.
Veteran point guard Tony Parker is averaging 20 points and nine assists for the Spurs. No doubt, former Spur George Hill will be amped up for his matchup with Parker.
Roy Hibbert should have a matchup advantage in the post, if the Pacers can find a way to work some offense through the big fella.
The Pacers will need to play at a higher level of intensity while executing far better than they have in the opening three games in order to make the long trip to San Antonio worth it. That will require players like Paul George, Gerald Green, Lance Stephenson and Tyler Hansbrough to step up their games.
