Huge Second Quarter Gives Pacers 56-42 Lead at Half Over Kings

The Indiana Pacers showed life to start, jumping out to a quick lead, but poor shooting at the end of the first, including a five minute stretch with no field goals, the Sacramento Kings jumped back in the game, taking a 28-20 lead a minute into the second quarter. The Pacers finally settled down, getting production from their second unit. With the game knotted at 38 at the 4:54 mark in the second, Indiana finished the half on an 18-4 run to take a commanding 56-42 lead.

George Hill led the way for the blue and gold with 13 points, getting help from Gerald Green with nine and David West with eight. Lance Stephenson sits at +22 in the +/- category in just ten minutes of action. The Pacers cut back on their turnovers after a sloppy first quarter and sit at 14-14 from the free throw line after a dismal night in Charlotte. DeMarcus Cousins (11) and Marcus Thornton (10) reached double figures for the Kings.
