The Los Angeles Lakers may be without Kobe Bryant on Tuesday night when they play the Indiana Pacers.
According to Dave McMenamin, Bryant missed the team's shootaround on Tuesday while dealing with flu-like symptoms. Coach Mike D'Antoni didn't reveal his plans for Bryant and will wait until game time to see if Kobe can go.
"I don't know (if Bryant will play)," Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni said. "Me as a coach, you always hope, but you never know. I want him to be well."
At this point, the Pacers can use any break they can get, besides that should even things up since Danny Granger won't play for the Pacers. Of course, the Lakers are without Steve Nash and his backup Steve Blake. Oh, and Pau Gasol is dealing with tendinitis, but yeah, let's just call it even without Kobe.
Deal?
Bryant leads the Lakers in points (26.9 ppg) and minutes (36.5 mpg) so needless to say, his absence would be a big boost for the Pacers.
