The Indiana Pacers return to action tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte.
Charlotte is a little younger this season, although that youth has talent, with second-year guard Kemba Walker taking over point guard duties following D.J. Augustin's departure, and 19-year old rookie, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist starting at forward. But let's face it, the outcome of this game is entirely up to the Pacers and how much energy they bring to the game combined with their ability to execute.
Turnovers and fouls are trouble areas for the blue and gold and a sure way to let Charlotte make a run at opening their season with a win. The Pacers should benefit from a little inside intel from Augustin upon his return to face his old team. But, again, the Pacers need to worry about themselves and dictating what happens in this game and they should be fine.
How's that for laying out an overconfidence curse?
