The Indiana Pacers open the 2012-13 NBA season tonight against the Toronto Raptors!

That's the good news. No, not good news, great news!

The not so great news is that Danny Granger is out indefinitely and won't play so Frank Vogel intends to start Gerald Green at his spot in the lineup. The trickle-down impact means that the Pacers revamped second unit will be minus their top offensive threat.

So Sam Young could join the second unit, but it also means Lance Stephenson will need to play a bigger role than expected. Vogel could also tighten his playing rotation to keep Green and Paul George running with the second unit which sounds like a safer bet.

Regardless, all of these good young players (looking at you PG, George Hill, Roy Hibbert) have to rise up and make a difference without Granger's 20 points to rely on. No shortage of intrigue on opening night. Enjoy!
