The Indiana Pacers take on the Chicago Bulls on Friday night at the Joyce Center on Notre Dame's campus and once again, starting point guard George Hill will watch from the sidelines. Suddenly, G3's status for the season opener in Toronto is in jeopardy.
According to a report by Mike Wells, coach Frank Vogel remains optimistic the Hill will return soon but couldn't commit to opening night.
Vogel is not optimistic that Hill will play tonight after he didn't practice Thursday. Hill's absence raises concern about his availability for the season opener at Toronto on Oct. 31.
"It's always a concern whether he'll be in there or not," Vogel said. "We feel like he's going to be ready by then."
As for the game tonight, both teams should spend a good chunk of the game playing it in regular season form. So...Pacers vs. Bulls amping up for the regular season? Yeah, now we're talkin'.
