The Indiana Pacers earned a day off on Sunday after rallying for a win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night. Now they can enjoy "Championship Sunday" at the Fieldhouse.
The Indiana Fever are one win away from clinching their first WNBA championship and the team that shares the Fieldhouse is getting just as excited as the fans.
Prior to the game, Roy Hibbert prepared for the game by wearing an Indiana Fever warm-up shirt instead of his standard-issue Pacers shirt. For Game 3, several Pacers bough and gave away 4,000 tickets to make sure the Fieldhouse was full and rocking.
That shouldn't be a problem on Sunday as Tamika Catchings and the Fever hope to finish their quest for the ring. Count Danny Granger among the locals fired up for Game 4. While sitting out the game on Saturday, Granger spent a few minutes on the television broadcast with Quinn Buckner and Chris Denari. During their chat, Granger said he is ready to celebrate if the Fever can close the deal.
"Game 4 is tomorrow (Sunday), correct?" Granger verified. "If they win, I told 'em I'm gonna come and I'm gonna rush the court with them, cheering. Get a little practice, so I know how it feels like to get a ring. I'm gonna rush the court, I'm telling you. Like I'm 18 again."
Just don't hurt your knee jumping around like you're 18, Danny.
