George Hill always returns to Indianapolis in the summer but this time he's here to stay.
Hill received a warm welcome when he arrived at the airport yesterday thanks to the some always-boisterous-and-having-fun Area 55 members. Today at 3:00PM the Indiana Pacers are ready to show the hometown guard plenty of love during their introductory news conference to officially welcome Hill back to town as the newest member of the Pacers.
The press conference will be held in the entry pavilion of Conseco Fieldhouse and is open to the public, so if you have the time join the crowd and enjoy the festivities.
The next press conference for the Pacers will likely confirm Frank Vogel as the team's head coach. On the assistant coaching front, one reported target is in the news today. J.B. Bickerstaff has been a highly respected assistant and Minnesota is apparently considering bringing his father, Bernie Bickerstaff to assume the top job and groom J.B. to take over in a couple of years.
Sounds like a good plan except for David Kahn's recent history with the team, which may push the younger Bickerstaff into looking for another job.
