I say should, because nothing is guaranteed with the Pacers including an expected level of intensity regardless of the situation. But they better bring it tonight because, to put it in baseball Opening Day terms, the Bucks will be swinging for the fences since their playoff hopes are in the bottom of the ninth. They strikeout tonight against the Pacers and those hopes will be dashed.
For the Pacers, their "magic" number is at 6, keeping pace with the number of games they have left to play, so there's little room for error. Fortunately, 4 of those 6 final games are at home where the Pacers have already locked up a winning record for a league-best 22nd straight season. Eddie White dropped this nugget of info on me which seemed crazy when I first read it. Not so much the streak of winning seasons at home, but that it is the longest streak going in the NBA.
The Bucks always present problems for the Pacers, but lately Carlos Delfino has been lighting it up more than usual, making "Carlos Del-threeno" an accurate moniker.
