Game Thread #68: Indiana Pacers at Boston Celtics

29-38 47-18
March 16, 2011 - 7:30PM EST
TD Garden
Radio: 93.1FM WIBC TV: Fox Sports Indiana
Probable starters:
Darren Collison PG Rajon Rondo
Paul George SG Ray Allen
Danny Granger SF Paul Pierce
Tyler Hansbrough PF Kevin Garnett
Roy Hibbert C Nenad Krstic

The Indiana Pacers had little time to bask in the glow of Danny Granger's game-winner last night, instead hitting the road and shifting their attention to a game with the Boston Celtics tonight.

The Celtics sat idly by last night while the Chicago Bulls won and took over the top spot in the Eastern Conference. A win tonight would draw the C's back into a tie with the Bulls but also slow down the hand-wringing throughout New England by fans concerned that the Celtics have lost three of their past four games.

Hopefully, Rajon Rondo will continue appearing disconnected to the game plan allowing the Pacers to put themselves in position to win this game at the end of the night. Rondo hasn't been himself of late, although he's also dealing with a bout of plantar fasciitis which is no fun at all.

After blowing through the Knicks' front court in the past two games, Tyler Hansbrough will have his recent run of great play tested with Kevin Garnett lining up next to him. Definitely not a good matchup on paper and I'm not expecting another monstrous game from Hansbrough, but I'm pumped to see the two tangle. I can't wait to see Hansbrough's array of facial expressions dismissing Garnett's attempts to intimidate by screaming non-sense in Tyler's face.

Here is the preview.
