The Indiana Pacers try to salvage a split from a four-game homestand tonight when they face the Golden State Warriors. With their bags packed for a three-game road trip, the Pacers desperately need to find a way to win tonight.
Mental and physical toughness is needed to return to that tough, high-effort style of play the Pacers showed after the coaching change. The Warriors have no problems scoring points so the Pacers will need to take care of the ball and start executing better offensively to keep up. Certainly not going to rely on the defense to slow down the Dubs, but they will have to control the glass to limit the scoring opportunities.
Since Mike Dunleavy has been on the shelf, the starters have struggled to score points. The style of play Golden State brings to the court should get everyone into the flow early and often. The Warriors have lost three-straight games themselves, so both teams will be desperate to put a notch in the W column.
