The Indiana Pacers return to the scene of one of their most gut-wrenching losses this season, when the visit the Bradley Center tonight to play the Milwaukee Bucks. This will be the Pacers' fourth game in five days but this is no time to play like it.
The Bucks have had the Pacers' number the past two seasons and in their last meeting, Andrew Bogut's tip with 0.5 seconds left in the game, quickly turned a Pacers' win into a loss and seemed to be a catalyst for the December fade the Pacers went through.
This is a different team, although after the struggles Indiana went through last night against Minnesota, they aren't that different. Bogut has been a nemesis for Roy Hibbert throughout Hibbert's young career. After Hibbert struggled last night against the Pekovic/Koustas tandem (honestly didn't know that was a tandem, still not sure), it will be interesting to see if he can shed the bad night and give Bogut a solid game. One difference from the past, was that Frank Vogel put Hibbert back in the game late despite the slow night. Hibbert did draw a foul and hit two critical free throws to extend the lead with the game still in the balance. Finishing on that positive note may carry over a better mind-set for tonight's game.
But it will take more than Roy to win and as we learned last night, anyone can step up for the Pacers to lead them to a win.
