The Indiana Pacers tip off the Frank Vogel era tonight against the Toronto Raptors. Unfortunately there may not be many folks on hand at the Fieldhouse to witness the game. A brutal forecast for the area has an ice storm hitting Indy tonight which will likely most fans from making the trek downtown tonight even if they initially planned to do so last night after hearing about the coaching change.
If you think the Pacers are struggling, you'll get no sympathy from fans in Toronto. The Raps arrive at the Fieldhouse with an 11-game losing streak hanging around their neck. Offense has been a big problem for Toronto during the losing streak. Andrea Bargnani has really struggled shooting it including going 0-5 from behind the arc in each of the past two games. Hopefully he won't bust out of his slump tonight.
The Pacers jumped on the Raptors early in their last meeting earlier this season. Brandon Rush and James Posey knocked in nine threes in the 124-100 win. With the coaching change and Rush sidelined, obviously neither will have that impact tonight. In fact, just who the impact players will be just one of the storylines in Vogel's first game. While we can't expect drastic changes tonight, we should get an idea of how plans to use certain players.
