The Indiana Pacers attempt to snap their six-game losing streak tonight when they take on the New Jersey Nets at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Now ten games under .500, the Pacers are past desperate for a win, but if they are going to show any signs of life before the all-star break in three weeks it has to start tonight with a win.
The Nets have had a tumultuous season both on and off the floor but should arrive at the Fieldhouse feeling pretty good about themselves having won four of their last five games. NJ center Brook Lopez has been the anti-Hibbert this season, starting the season slow but then offering consistent production of late. As usual, Roy Hibbert could be the difference-maker tonight if he can neutralize Lopez's impact on the game with his own production.
We know Brandon Rush is out tonight, but late word from the Pacers reveals that Tyler Hansbrough will also miss the game due to pneumonia. Whoa! When Hansbrough gets sick he makes it count. I'm assuming Josh McRoberts will start.
Here is the Pacers.com preview.
