The Pacers ran away from the Clips in their mid-November game in Indy, a game that featured an extremely young Clippers' lineup against a Pacers team that was off to a strong start to the season. Things have changed for both teams, with the Pacers trying to re-capture some of that early-season success while the Clippers have found something that works quite well of late.
Baron Davis has returned to the lineup since the teams last played, but Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon have been making it happen. The Clips have won four of their last five games including wins over Miami and the Lakers. EJ has averaged 27.4 points in those five games, a few points higher than his 23.4 scoring average for the season. Yeah, the local legend has arrived in the NBA.
Hopefully the Pacers will feel a little muscle-memory boost as they return to the Staples Center where they put in one of the best performances of the year by putting away the Lakers on their last trip out west. Also, considering the Clippers are coming off an emotional win yesterday afternoon, the Pacers may be able to catch their hosts a little flat.
Here's the Pacers.com preview.
