Danny Granger is maxing out his time in town before heading to New York with Team USA. After hoop camping with kids last week, he took part in a ceremony yesterday to unveil a series of banners, one of which includes his image, that will hang from lamp posts downtown.
Including Granger among the iconic local images to welcome visitors downtown may be a strong indication that the Pacers aren't looking to trade their leading scorer anytime soon.

4 schools consider Conseco doubleheader
Jeff Rabjohns reports some good hoops news out of the Big Ten's football media day. Indiana, Purdue, Notre Dame and Butler are talking positively about a matching up for a double-header at Conseco Fieldhouse starting next year (2011). With all four state schools involved it should be a big event for the Fieldhouse which is a good thing.
