The Indiana Pacers officially welcome point guard Darren Collison and forward James Posey to town today in an introductory press conference. The two will also take part in a chat with Pacers.com at 2:00PM (submit questions in advance here).
Unfortunately, the media will probably give Collison and Posey their proper hello and then want to move on to questions about Lance Stephenson. The questions won't get very far though. Answers from the Pacers will be some variation of explaining that the team will continue to monitor the situation as the process plays out. Stephenson has a court date set for October 19th and they'll go from there.
That's really all they can do at this point unless all charges are dropped or Stephenson is exonerated by his side of the story.
The good news for the Pacers is that there is still plenty of good news. The arrival of Collison and Posey certainly fit that category. Plus, Danny Granger is off to Madrid with Team USA preparing for the World Championships.
After the jump, a few links of interest with stories on all of the above, plus Travis Diener finds a team.
