Roy Hibbert is like a Walmart greeter at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Pacers' center has reportedly been working his tail off this summer and if half the battle is just showing up then we know that's true. Check out the Pacers.com video page where Hibbert pops up in the lobby on Paul George's first day on the job to chat with the rookie. Another clip shows a sweat-soaked Hibbert greeting UFC local legend Chris Lytle, along with Matt Serra and fomer Boilermaker Matt Mitrione while the three promoted UFC 119.
It wouldn't have surprised me if Hibbert showed up sashaying down the catwalk on the Pacemates Showcase video (I watched it a few times just to make sure he didn't show up...research).
So after a brief scare while playing for the Jamaican national team, Hibbert remains a fixture at the Fieldhouse. Bruno's latest Caught in the Web catches up with with Hibbert, where else, at the Fieldhouse where he discusses his effort to make the Olympics with Jamaica and getting in his work this offseason. There's even a little video of Roy playing with the Jamaican team prior to the knee tweak that brought him home.
