A.J. Price Injures Knee, Headed For Surgery Next Week

Some bad news broke Saturday night revealing another setback for the Indiana Pacers. Mike Wells tweeted that A.J. Price injured his knee during a celebrity game in New York and expects to have surgery next week which will keep him on the shelf for a couple of months.

Wells confirmed the news passed on to him by Newsday's Alan Hahn who mentioned the injury required an ambulance to pick up Price. Stay tuned for more details.

I'm wondering which knee went out on Price who ended his junior year at UConn with torn ACL in his left knee. If the prognosis is for two months of recovery, then this injury must not be as bad, but any time off for Price is a set back. Couple that with another knee injury and it worsens the situation since Price lost some bounce in his game after the ACL tear. While he adapted well to a new style of play, he certainly can't afford to lose any more athleticism or quickness.

At this point, we just have to hope for a full recovery this summer.
