The Indiana Pacers welcome the Toronto Raptors to Conseco Fieldhouse tonight along with a chance to shed their two-game losing streak. The one nice thing about the two straight losses is the hand-wringing and frustration expressed from the Fieldhouse. Not saying there wasn't the same internal strife over losses last season, but stringing a few L's together seemed like business as usual as the season slipped away.
Tonight offers a chance to amp up the effort and correct the mistakes from the past two losses against a Raptors team that can put up points but should struggle to defend. The Pacers have to return to their unified effort at the defensive end to try to slow down the Raps. With Jose Calderon, DeMar Derozan and then Jerryd Bayless and Leandro Barbosa off the bench, guarding the ball at the point of attack will be critical. While the Pacers have done a nice job protecting the tin, it makes it much tougher if the opponents can push the ball into the lane with ease.
